About the challenge
The Nordic Challenge is an ultra triathlon carried out solo by Florian Teatiu —
1,600 km across Sweden by swimming, cycling and running, over 4 weeks from July 15th to August 8th, 2026.
It is not a race and there is no competition. It is an act of movement, shared with anyone who wants to join along the way.
The challenge begins with a solo swim from Gothenburg south along the coast to Malmö (July 15th–28th).
It then continues by bike from Malmö to Stockholm (July 29th – August 1st), passing through Lund, Kristianstad, Karlshamn, Karlskrona, Kalmar, Oskarshamn, Västervik, Valdemarsvik, Norrköping, Nyköping and Södertälje.
The final leg runs on foot from Stockholm back to Gothenburg (August 2nd–8th),
through Södertälje, Linköping, Mjölby, Granna, Jönköping, Ulricehamn and Borås.
Florian is a ballet dancer, rugby player and athletic coach who has spent his career
proving that movement belongs to everyone. The Nordic Challenge is his biggest test —
and his biggest invitation. He wants to show that human limits are further than we think,
and that the journey is better when it's shared. Read more on the About page.
No. This is not a race and there are no prizes. The goal is not to finish first —
it is to finish, and to bring as many people as possible along the way.
The only measure of success is the movement created.
Joining the challenge
Yes, absolutely anyone can join. There is no level required and no minimum distance.
You can ride one kilometre or fifty. You can run for twenty minutes or two hours.
Florian adapts to your pace — not the other way around.
The only condition is showing up.
The swimming stage (July 15th–28th, coastal route from Gothenburg to Malmö) is carried out
solo by Florian for safety and logistical reasons. You cannot join this stage in the water,
but you can follow along the coast and meet him at the daily finish points.
The cycling and running stages are fully open to everyone.
Register your interest by leaving your name, email and phone number.
We will contact you within 48 hours with all the details about the stage closest to your location —
meeting point, timing, and everything you need to know.
Absolutely. Groups are very welcome. Whether it's a running club, a sports association,
a company team or a group of friends — just register your interest and tell us a bit about your group.
We will make it work.
For the cycling stage: a bike in good working condition and a helmet (mandatory).
For the running stage: suitable running shoes. No special equipment is required.
Come as you are — the challenge adapts to you.
Yes. Joining a stage as a participant is completely free.
You are responsible for your own transport, accommodation and equipment.
Everything else — the route, the support, the movement — is open.
Safety & logistics
A support team will accompany Florian throughout the challenge, including safety and first aid coverage.
Participants joining stages should be responsible for their own fitness level and health.
If you have any medical concerns, please consult your doctor before joining.
